Over the last few days I have been experiencing lower abdominal pain. I get spasms every now and again and its so uncomfortable that I can't sit or stand. My stomach is so bloated that all my clothes feel uncomfortable at the moment. Looks like I'm going to have to go to my GP tomorrow.

Any suggestions on what it could be please.

Thanks x

It sounds like it could be irritable bowel syndrome but best to get the GP to check . x

Thanks Yogasun. Thats what I've been thinking it could be. I thought my stomach was going to explode on Monday! :-(
I agree with yogasun. It does sound like IBS.

When I get bouts of this, I take Buscopan which soon gets rid of the symptoms. But always best to get it checked out if it persists.

Hope you feel better soon. -x-
not being rude but could it be constipation when did you last open your bowels?
snap.......i was going to say IBS. have you been stressed/ anxious lately?

Hello everybody,

I think I might try Buscopan Smudge. A woman at work had IBS and she used to take it, She said it took the edge off the pain.

Luckily I don't suffer with constipation or diarrohea (sp), however I do get a shooting pain when I go to go. I am regular as well zzxxee.

I have had bouts of stress and anxiety in the last few years MiniN.

Tigger,

It sounds like IBS however, Buscopan can mask the symptoms of other conditions so it is not recommended that you use it unless you have been properly diagnosed.
Yeah, try having a good sh1t first.
foodluva - my problem had been diagnosed as IBS by my GP & was prescribed Buscopan for it, which you can now buy over the counter.

As I said earlier tigger, best to get the symptoms checked out if they persist. It could very well be due to your stress & anxiety, which your GP could look into.

Good luck.

Hello again,

I will be going to the docs tomorrow Foodluva. The pain has subsided a lot this evening so I feel much better thanks. I have heard that stress and anxiety can cause a myriad of things Smudge.

And low and behold we have a myriad in our midst!
