what options are there if you have a mortgage on a 2 bed flat with your ex andyou cant sell it?

renting it out is an option obviously but one partner refuses to so that is not an option....

is it possible to sell half?
rent half?
give half away?
would anyone want to own half a property? If so where would you find such a person?

all help and advice is appreciated!!!

I don't think you can sell half a property but don't quote me on that. I would imagine that the half that doesn't want to rent it out should buy the other half out if it can't be sold.
if you cant afford to buy them out alone, then you can

get a lodger, mortgage may accept this against income
Find someone who'll buy it with you, it would need to be a new mortgage.

reduce the price so it's more attractive to buy. If you cant sell a whole place, you will have trouble selling half.

Do you both astill live there?
