Spent all day on the beach today and slapped on copious amounts of factor 3000 at regular intervals, apart from my feet and lower legs (I had full length trousers on, but rolled them up to go in the sea with the kids and well, you can guess the rest). It HURTS. Apart from after sun (which is useless) can anyone recommend anything to stop the pain please?

Try a salt bath
Have you anything with aloe vera, that can be quite cooling.
There's honestly not a great deal apart from showering your legs in cold water and slathering on loads of unscented etc cream. Unless you get blisters, then ask your chemist for this spray on stuff that acts like a plaster but is specifically for blisters (I got it in Greece a few years back for my shoulders).
get a bottle of wine from the fridge. open it. have a very large glass.

hope you feel better soon.. OUCH!
hot bath, it will hurt but will feel better tomorrow.
Love sara's answer lol! but remember, dehydration......
so have ice in it :o)
No I've got it! Have the bottle of wine whilst soaking your legs in an ice cold shower. Result.
that just proves that with team work, you can solve anything!
Just make sure that whilst youre drinking the wine you dont say anything that will alienate your partner / kids.

That will just make them tell you to sod off when you say 'Cream my legs up with that aloe vera, Baby!' as you fall elegantly out of the bathtub.
Ahh bless barmaid ;)

If you can get your hands on pure Aloe Vera it will do wonders. The plant is even better just pull a bit off and wipe it all over the sunburn.

I use it for my prickly heat and it's the only thing that has real effect.

The wine will probably help too tho!

Did you know that reapplying suncream does not mean you can stop out in all day?

Once you've used up your daily quota, you will burn no matter how much of the stuff you use.
Natural yoghurt works wonders.
