Does anybody know if you can get dental insurance that will cover cosmetic dentistry, eg having dental veneers replaced in 10-15 years time, but not the initial treatment?

No, and such an insurance plan would be very expensive.

You could open a regular savings account and put money aside each to pay for it though

Thanks Ethel, I thinks that's what I'll have to do.
I'm not sure but from an insurers point of view such a policy would be insane, since its 100% guranteed that you would need replacements within that time frame why would anyone insure you?
There are some dental insurance service provider that offers discount on dental plans. These discount will be valid with registered ortho, practice dentists and specialist. The dental discount plan help you to get good discount on regular checkups, root canal treatment and surgery etc. Good Luck.
