I prefered using IBD Gel myself. It comes in a pot and you string it on to the readily dried and prepared nail surface over the top of a bonder, and you use a gel nail UV lamp to set it. You then use top seal which creates a high shine finish after you have buffed off any mistakes. I don't like the smell of acrylic :(
I wonder if you could help me Im doing a beuaty care course and 1 of my assesments is ie: a client whose nails are damaged due to the incorrect removal of artificial nails, a nail biter who is getting married in 8 weeks,a catering worker whose hands and nails are extremely dehydrated due to being in water, suitable homecare advice for all the clients and measures to aviod damage to the nails please please can you help Thanks
I trained with Creative nails and I would reccomned their products too anyone!! If you arent training with Creative then I guess what you could do is buy sample packs from the manufactuer and then decide which one you get on better with!! Good luck!!
Hancar, What you need to do is go out and buy the nail encyclopedia!! Its available from most ggod books stores. I think its written by Jacqui Jefford and someone else, it has absolutely everything in there. From contra indications to contra actions, loads of advice on damaged nails and nail bitters etc the list gos on. I think its around 20 but believe me you wont need to buy another book. Its brilliant!!!

Hancar, you can buy the Encyclopaedia for Nails on ebay, for a fraction fo the price (27.99 new), i saw one go for 10.00, and it's well worht having, I have used it in my past 3 courses. Good luck
