Apparently the current pope was in the hitler youth.
Maybe we will see a new picture this is germany ?
Same violence and twisted ideals but different country.
Though i may be in a minority here .

MIND YOU BRITAIN WAS AN INNOCENT ?
In 1945, Arthur Harris decided to create a firestorm in the medieval city of Dresden. He considered it a good target as it had not been attacked during the war and was virtually undefended by anti-aircraft guns. The population of the city was now far greater than the normal 650,000 due to the large numbers of refugees fleeing from the advancing Red Army.
On the 13th February 1945, 773 Avro Lancasters bombed Dresden. During the next two days the USAAF sent over 527 heavy bombers to follow up the RAF attack. Dresden was nearly totally destroyed. As a result of the firestorm it was afterwards impossible to count the number of victims. Recent research suggest that 35,000 were killed but some German sources have argued that it was over 100,000
sTRANGE WHEN YOU THINK OF 9-11 AND THE 3,000 COMPARED TO FIREBOMBING AN ENTIRE CITY FOR DAYS AND KILLING WOMEN CHILDREN AND EVEN REFUGEEAS.
YES THAT WAS ENGLAND/BRITAIN

Members of the RAF bombing crews became increasingly concerned about the morality of creating firestorms. Roy Akehurst was a wireless operator who took part in the raid on Dresden.
It struck me at the time, the thought of the women and children down there. We seemed to fly for hours over a sheet of fire - a terrific red glow with thin haze over it. I found myself making comments to the crew: "Oh God, those poor people." It was completely uncalled for. You can't justify it.
THIS WAS ENGLAND EH ?

Quin I am surprised that you didnt write a letter of complaint to the Director or anyone else. Doesnt this film stand against ALL you morals and beliefs?
Didnt the pure racism and hatred of asian and blacks portrayed in this film make you want to write a post about it? Im glad you enjoyed this film and you are free to do so, but that does surprise me following your points of view on how this country is not being ruined by certain religions and minorites.
hmmmm do I sense a chick on you armour?

Wow.
Wow. You're being serious aren't you?
This film supports all my morals and beliefs. I suspect it's gone waaaay over your head though.
Or were you whooping and hollering at the 'happy' ending when the black lad had his face stoved in?
The film's message (and no offence but a child would see this) advocates multiculturalism and understanding and pours scorn on the meatheads who oppose it. It also depicts the horror of right-wing politics poisoning impressionable minds (hello there!).
Again though - wow.

You're not in a grump because you failed to clock the message of the movie after multiple viewings are you?
Happy to enjoy any onslaught (let me know when it turns up). It's a state of mind that comes with not being rabidly angry all the time, but then I don't gulp down the right-wing ravings of the Daily Mail every day.
This is England - great film, great country. Shame you can't appreciate either properly.
