It has, but i for one love to talk about myself. I have been a Clerical Officer for BT for thirty years, and a freelance music writer for twenty-three years, I'll leave it up to you to guess which one I'm doing on this Bank Holiday!
it was asked many moons ago so worth going for it again as very few regulars may remember that far back :-) (in fact i swear it was me who asked it about 2 years ago) anyway, back to the question - software developer
I teach special needs and unfortunatly my summer hols are coming to an end very soon.
Im a part time marketing consultant, a musician, an electrician and a chef. And i live in the Canary Islands. And i dont normally post in B&S in case you dont recognise my name.
I'm a student, and a silver service waitress on the side.
I'm a mum to 2 boys and trainee breastfeeding counsellor. I was studying for a physics degree when i became pregnant my 1st son. Might finish it off one day.
It was asked fairly recently ("Work, Work, Work") now on page 21-40 in the People & Places section. I'm now retired. I was a Product Specialist in the Cardiovascular Division of a Japanese medical products manufacturer.
support worker for asyum seekers.
social work
Biochemist turned banker/economist (don't ask me how come!)
Ex Firefighter (retired on medical grounds).
lowly sales assistant at Boots
Own a firm which is in the field of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. This is broken down into sub sections, Electrical Installations (domestic), Electrical Installations (industrial), Data networks and Alarms.
Hey Clarabel 82 never think of yourself as lowly. You are a vital part to a firm as you're the first person people see. What people think of an organisation ,in 90 per cent of the time is enbedded in the first minute! You are the person they see, not a boardroom fat cat.
I am an NHS Occupational Therapist, currently working on something called the Single Assessment Process. Has anyone heard of it??
Pipped to the post norfolk boy! Clarabel82, please don't think of yourself as lowly because you are a shop assistant! I was a Company Secretary for 26 years & in charge of many people. If the apprentices were feeling a little intimidated by others, I always made a point of reminding them that they were an integral part of the company, the same as the Queen is to England & Clarabel82 is to Boots chemist.
Right now I am a stay home mom to an 8 month old, about to start university for accounting (my goal is to work for the government in taxation. IRS all the way!!!). Before this I worked in Starbucks getting people high off of caffeine and pi**ing my boss off by being to good for them. How about you?
So what do you do for a living peps?
I'm currently resting.
Senior Technician in the Operating Theatre of my local hospital.
