It's horrible. I can't have the windows open in case "things" fly in, so have to sit here and suffer. Can't even think what it'd be like if the room was any smaller. I'd melt away, and folk'd be able to make candles out of me in the morning!! x
Tis a bit muggy down in Croydon Icey. Trouble is I can't sleep with the windows open as I can hear the world and his wife outside :-(
It's fine here, lovely and cool, we've had the windows open all evening and it is quite refreshing.

Oh lol Tigger - hello hun - all I'd be able to hear is the sound of buzzing things. I've just got to suffer it!!! Once left the bedroom window open all night, and a moth the size of a bat came in! Awful!!!!
Funny though, I have a friend who lives in Edmonton, and he never closes the window in his flat. I know it's not on the ground floor, but he says he doesn't even get a fly in the room!!!
I hate this weather! Don't like the sun, don't like the heat, can't stand the damnable insects...
it's been hot here in & i love the heat.... it's a good excuse for ice-cream:)
can suggest lighting a citronella candle (from homebase or b&q) it repells bugs and then you can have the windows open.
Sweating like a pig in Stretford!!

Hey Ice :o)
I like it unless I'm working or trying to sleep. At the moment I'm suffering from very bad sunburn, so don't like anything. I'm very grumpy!! Just for a change :D - xxx

Good for you, LiK. I know insects are necessary, but surely not in the house??? Velvetee was saying about getting huge flying ants in - another horrible thing!
Anyway, I'm with you on the heat thing - and at least we're less liable to get skin cancer!!!
Thanks for letting me have a moan! Now, which path leads back to Q&P?..
I agree with Luckyfish, Citronella is good for keeping wingy type things out. When I was on holiday in Cyprus once I got completely covered in mossie bites. M skin was raw with the scratching by the time I got home.
Question Author
Hi mistys - why are you frumpy hun - the heat? See - there's no good in it at all!!
Luckyfish (like the last part of your name!!!) - those candles don't repel all the insects. Two years ago, we had an all-night barbie, and even though we were burning citronella, we had lots of daddy long legs flapping about all night - gross!

Waterproof underpants on, Knobby? ROFL!!! What - plastic? Rubber? Don't they make you sweat????
Well yes it's the heat, but only because I sat out in it too long, with not enough sun cream. Now my face looks like I've had a chemical peel or something. I can't even frown because the skin is too tough *cries* I enjoyed frowning too - xx
Question Author
LOL knobby - bet those furry things are feeling hot!!!

Oh poor you, mistys! plenty of moisturiser hun! xx

yes dot - my friends in cornwall've said the same thing - just pleasant, and even overcast all morning.
Creeps onto thread >>>>
Hello Ice hun ....erm ....cooler here and my fire is on .....
Anything above 70F is too hot for me. I don't like the heat or strong sun or the infestation of thousands of flying ants in my bathroom.
