Hi cuddleme i agree dental pain is the worst, try clove oil it's meant to be really good for toothache.
Hi cuddleMe, hun. Awww...toothache's as bad as ear ache - both nasty because they're nerve pains.
Louisa's right about the clove oil, which can actually be mixed with something to form a paste which makes a temporary filling, but obviously, your best bet's to see a dentist. Hope you soon feel better - xxx

I.M. i dont like dentist and not NHS reg :( would cost me a bomb!! last time i was lucky to get 7 fillings done with the cost of 50 instead of 750!!! (u see i stil was a student then)-2003 my geatest fear= Dentist!! i should have learnt my lesson :( no more sugary food!!! xxxxxxxxxxxx :'( oowwww
I had a stinker of a migraine two weeks ago. Had to resort to medication, which then left me drowsy. I hate tooth pain even more.
One of the reasons being that for instance with headaches there maybe a reversible cause for the pain which your natural defence system or physiology can cope with.
However generaly speaking diseases/pathology of the dentofacial area do not reverse without intervention.
For instance whilst a tooth has a living component it has a very poor healing ability and tyhe outer enamel is a dead tissue and cannot heal. Therefore any trauma or dental disease will usually require dental treatment.
Painkillers will only palliate the symptoms, usually ineffectively.
Clove oild is recommended by many but is of limited value depending on the cause of dental pain and its main action would most likley arise largely from the placebo effect.
Simple rule of thumb pain in the orofacial region = visit to the dentist
