Im going to be 60 soon,my husband wants to either throw a huge party,come on come all or take me away for weekend break. Im in a quandery any suggestions would be much appreciated.

On my 60th my three sons took us out for a smashing meal at an extremely nice/good/expensive restaurant and then we went to our local pub. Whereupon virtually the entire village turned up! We had cake (with one candle...) and I had lots of cards/flowers etc. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Then... the following day (which was a Saturday) my hubby took me away for a week's holiday. The best of both worlds!! Can't wait for my 70th......... Whatever you decide, just enjoy it!

I sent my parents on the Orient Express It was only a day trip and perhaps they could have gone away for a few days for the cost but they have not stopped going on about it since. They said nothing could compare and it was a special way to mark their 60th Birthdays.

Hiya josie48 I was 60 in January and mrpuss wanted me to have a big party but I didn't want that. I hated the thought of being 60 but can't turn the clock back can we. Anyway we took all our close family out for a meal calling at the pub on the way, we had a great night and it was just the right thing to do for me. Just do what you want, party or weekend away doesn't matter which as long as it is what you want.
