when you are waiting in for a delivery/tradesperson that they will always come to you last? Especially when you have taken the day off and realy want to go out? Surely someone in the world must get their deliveries first thing? Just not me it seems

Depends on who you are waiting to deliver.
I ordered something from Argos and it came at the crack of dawn. No lie!!
I was able to go to work!!
Strange that, isn't it? We had a bed delivered at 7.30 p.m. one night. The company isn't a million miles from where we are, and had to pass us, yet they went all round the houses before dropping ours off last!

i am waiting for a kitchen to come from jewson. Does it seem presumptuous to ring them up and ask where they are?
No. I was told that if the vans are within a five mile radius of you, they can phone the driver and ask him where he is, and then let you know how long they might be.
yer Argos always came first thing with me too
Hi Bednobs, i'm exactly the same. You wait in all day and then when you have to go out even for 10 mins to pick up the wee one from school, when you get back in, there's a card through your door to say they've been. GGGGRRRRRR.....i mean do they sit outside your hoose watching for you to go out. Happens everytime, ruddy sod's law. :((

its just annoying. Usually on a day off i would be tucked up in bed still, but i had to be up at the crack of dawn to let the electrician in, and now i'm just hanging around waiting. My battery on the laptop is also running out, cant listen to the radio or watch the tv due to no electricity. I might have to resort to reading a book soon!
argos delivered to me at the crack of dawn as well. but tehy do annoy me because the thing i ordered was small enough for me to carry home but according to them it had to be delivered, just a con to get more money out of you
Yes there is such a law
comet delivered my fridge freezer at 5.45pm (delivery was 7am-6pm) typical!
Come on Panic Button prove it:-(
