Hi , do you have a collection of anything ? It may be something you have avidly collected over the years , or maybe been given as presents . If so , is your collection out on display or hidden in the garage or attic ? :-)

They are all in a display cabinet.
I also collect Beswick horses, i have quite a few now, started that collection in 1977 when I was given one for an engagement present. they are around and about the house/
I collect John Wayne memoribillia, taking over from my dad as he had so much and i inherited the collection. some is on display but most is away.
I also have a collection of footwear that is getting rather large now.
I did start collecting delph pottery at one time but I havn't added to that for many years.
I suppose I collect holiday souvenires, usually local sculptures or carvings from anywhere I visit.

Hi bigmamma ~ sorry I forgot the salutations in my last post :o)
Yes ~ Mr P has his Action Men in a couple of cabinets..he still has two which he owned as a wee boy, and has added plenty more which were on his wish list way back then, and has now been able to afford to buy! they can cost a fortune..
I do have a couple of little horses to match my Barney! he is a chestunut New Forest pony, so it is easy to find little models of him..think of 'Thelwell' and you have Barney..lol. No china or ceramic ones though ~ just plastic.

Oh yes bigmamma..he is totally adorable! unfortunately he was kicked by a bigger horse yesterday and it doesn't look too pretty so I won't be riding him for a few days..bless his heart..he is probably quite pleased about that ;o)
Most of Mr P's Action men are from the 60's and 70's. He has started buying the new reproduction ones from Modellers loft ~ they are all superb replicas of the originals, even the boxes. Mr P is in heaven with his dolls...*sorry* action figures...lol!

I have a large collection of boxes-enamel,wood,metal,jeweled,painted,-some were given to me, but most were prezzies to myself! lol! I have also acquired quite a few pottery jugs-some made by contemporary craftspeople while others are ethnic and interesting-the oldest is a Minton jug that dates from 1844 and is the most amazing turqoise blue......sounds like I have a "thing"about containers. Finally there are all the cat-related bits-cards,a couple of soft toys and a number made in pottery and wood. Can't think of anything else....oh yeh-around 100+ cookbooks!
