u`ll get loads of bubbles! why not handwash using shower gel? then u can do bubble control. where do u live? perhaps someone could pop some to you!!! are you near b90 postcode? xx
my friend is b90/b91 and i`m more cv12, i have a friend in wr5
dont use washing up liquid!!!
I wouldn't put washing up liquid in the washing machine

Shower gel is a good idea or even household soap

Someone poping some in is a good idea - where are you?
i`ve run out of chocolate and wine if anyone lives in the coventry area xx
try a couple of teaspoons of soda crystals OR bicarb of soda
or just to get the smell out try just using fabric conditioner
I've used washing up liquid before when run out, its fine if you only put a tiny and i mean tiny bit in.

How about shampoo? Again though, only a smidgen.
I have used Fairy liquid-just 100ml is plenty...it is also good for getting out stains

ah I have just put in a little bit of shampoo with the little bit of washing powder that I had left...so fingers crossed I won't flood the place with bubbles, at least my washing will smell lush- aussie moist shampoo.....

Thanks for all your advice...

xx
Just a little tip for future use put some soda crystals (about half a cup) in with your usual washing powder/tablets and your whites will be shining and most stains will be removed it works wonders. I live with spring water and a septic tank, spring water is sometimes a bit muddy during heavy rainfall and also I can only use non bio washing stuff. soda crystals work miracles. The Vanish stuff is only soda and costs a fortune yet a bag of crystals are about 58p.
Did you not have a neighbour you could ask? Round here we're always borrowing stuff off each other - in the last couple of weeks I've had an onion, a lightbulb and a cup of washing powder borrowed off me. I've also borrowed a couple of eggs!
