I was 2 days off due date and at a Madness gig in forest. Only thing that fit me were my dungerees and i had my mobile in top pocket.
Went to portaloo as desperatley needed a wee and of course there was little room to turn around. I undid dungers and the flap at front fell. Everything seemd in slow motion as i watched mobile phone fall into the pan, hover briefly as if teasing me and then disappear into the blue chemicals beyond.
I opened the door and called to Mr CRX and found that the entire queue for loos were saying 'aww shes in labour' 'she must be having her baby' etc etc etc.

Hi bigmamma, yes unfortunately I am prone to spontaneous pneumothorax,I had my first when I was 29 years old and the second one was in 2004,they decided to operate after that one to stick my right lung to the chest wall to try and prevent further collapses(Pleurectomy and Bullectomy)the second part of my op was to remove blebs(cysts) from my lung as it was these bursting that causes the lung to deflate.I wouldn't wish the pain of having a chest drain in on my worst enemy!!!
No I was in Austria must be a frequent occurrence :-) and I was in a police car because my blokes car had been stolen and police came to pick us up to take us to it early hours of the morning, funny thing was the policeman that came to get us was the same man my bloke had assaulted while drunk a few months earlier.
HI Bigmamma, I have a scar on my chest from an operation I had when I was 3 weeks old, I have a scar on my nose from a dogbite when I was about 5, got another on my cheek from falling off a bike when I was wee (both very small) broke my left leg in 2 places when I was 2. Broke my right arm falling off a haystack when I was 9. Broke my nose about 6 times ever. Snapped my left elbow and puntured my diaphragm when I was 18. Got knocked out in a fight when I was 16, getting a scar through one of my eyebrows, got a scar on my chin for some unknown reason. Broke my left wrist when I was about 20 and broke 2 toes last year. Also got a few scratch scars from being attacked by a cat when I was about 8. Not the luckiest person in the world but at least I look hard with all these scars!
Until three years ago, never been in hospital, no scars, no breaks. Now I have a scar that goes (as they say) from ear to ear!! When I came out of hospital all I needed was a couple of bolts and I could have been frankenstein!! Tried to count the staples but gave up after 45!! LOL Luckily I heal really quickly and it is hardly noticeable now. Hopefully that will be all I get for ever and ever.
