Is your son this mischievous??

Some of the posts today have made me think of those little monsters we call sons. (And daughters probably, but I can't be sure as I don't have any!) annie, cazzz, mrs o, goodsoulette, oldgrape, john lambert, legend and lots and lots more of you, this is for you! If you've never read Calvin and Hobbes - you MUST!! I guarantee you a good laugh!

oldgrape - I tried to find the one where he can't quite flush a grapefruit down the loo, as it was your soap problem that made me think of it in the first place...
lol nutgone, it does sum up most little men, my son would do anything for a packet of haribo's(like having a much hated haircut!) , yet my daughter would try to negotiate her way to a better deal.

little boys are so uncomplicated, they are pretty mischievious too but I cant be mad with them, they give me the cheeky grin and I melt!!

I went out for the evening leaving my 15 year old son at home.
The following day I needed to make a telephone call and picked up the cordless handset...........as I pushed the buttons I noticed that the entire thing looked suspiciously damp/wet and there was no dialling tone to be had.....so locating a screwdriver I disassembled the thing............more water and rusty bits !

So, not unnaturally, I quizzed my boy about this and he seemed genuinely puzzled. I wasn't foolish enough to think that he hadn't got anything to do with it but he was adamant that he knew nothing.

It came to light several weeks later in conversation with a neighbour that my son had dropped the handset down the loo whilst having a pee mid-conversation !!

That was when I learned that my son could lie with conviction ! :D
sorry but this still beats all

Talking of cheeky / naughty, my son this morning threw a plastic golf ball at my head. When i said 'ouch' he ran over, grabbed the ball and said

"Im sorry golf ball, i didnt mean to throw you"

MINUTE sorry
dont worry miacat, 4get wont have taken offence by it lol
My youngest was the tantrum king - at 6 he has only just stopped! He would bang his head on the pavement just because he wanted to be on the other side of the road.

Not much changes though, my two were in the bath the other night when my youngest started howling - his brother, No 1 son, had peed into a cup I use for washing their hair as he was too lazy to get out of the bath - and then tipped it over his brother's head. I sure the people at the other end of the estate could hear me shouting!

annie, when they're fighting over the same girls in a few years' time, I bet THAT story will be trotted out by your No2 so that he wins the girl from No1!!

Mr nutgone has just the one brother too, and they have an endless supply of these stories. The worst ones are the ones I'm sure their mum screamed the loudest at, or pulled out the most hair over. There's one (presumably) awful one involving a babysitter that is only ever hinted at, and I've yet to hear the full details - they just laugh hysterically, while I see ominous echoes of my two in their faces. It's like "The Ghost Of Childhood Yet To Come" !!!!
