A guy I know, suffers from depression. He occaionally drinks and cant find a decent girlfriend :( When he does, he clings to them like no one else will have him, which is probably what drives the women away.
Anyway, I think that's part of the problem, coz he's so clingy he'll pretty much have anybody at this stage.
I dont know how to help him get over his depression, on top of which I think he's suffering from mid-life crisis too! He's a real mess and cries every now and then.
How do I help him? Also, I think he should find a nice girl for himself, he doesnt want to get out of the house, is there any other way for him to socialize and meet women?

Blu - stop being agressive people are only reacting to you! I thin you need to stop trying to get him a gf, it's not the only thing to make people happy! you're probably making think it's his only option. Try just getting him being independant first!

You sound like you're looking to pass the buck!
Blue... aside your friends problems I think you suffer from
Narcissism....

There are plenty of people on this thread who have offered suggestions... but you have chosen to ignore them... and decided to keep up your fight with cazzz... Let it go... she wins hands down....

I'm not surprised that he suffers from depressing reading some of your posts.

And what ''MENTAL ILLNESS'' do you actually suffer from blu3wave?

can you all focus on my poor friend instead of being selfish and rude and making fat jokes all over again? Someone might have a deflated self esteem coz of it, tut tut

Anyway, I will call him and take him to the GP myself, i think its a good idea..... in the meantime, i'll make sure he joins other clubs. He likes chess, so maybe a chess club. He also likes eating so maybe a cooking club. He is a bit of a geek and a dosser so maybe he can be a blockbuster member and rent some movies.

you do that then. Ever wondered why he might be depressed....

I suffer from kindness, i am too kind for my own good, taking care of this no-good pessimistic friend who has no one in the world but me.

And as for cazz, fine she wins, wow, that must have made her nite, winning an internet fight, another long nite passing slowly by ;)

But, once again back to my friend, he def needs company.... i have been told that a lot of mature old women his age go to bowling alleys to pass the time, maybe i could try taking him there? Any more ideaS??
you've answered your question above, think this post is finished
i think my sickness is back!

Fancy holding my bucket while i puke, seeing as youre overflowing with kindness?

I'm going to ignore the fugly sisters, and carry on ahead like cinderella to find my friend, a lovely woman or wife.

All your suggestions of prostitutes and mail order brides are vile... my friend doesnt deserve such filth, i 'm sure he can do better. Prostitutes are not forever nyhow, he needs a partner for life. A motherly kind would be even better.

If anybody out there reads this, and think they fit the bill, please reply here and dont forget to post your pic!

You still here blu? shouldn't you be keeping a lookout for your 'friend'? in case he tries to jump out of a window or crosses the central carriageway of the M1?

Question Author
As fat women tend to be lazy, and burp and fart and stink all the time, I think they'd only drive my kind friend up the wall.... and so it wouldnt last for too long (well until the food in fridge ran out).
