my mother is having awful problems with bunions on both feet, but being an avid hillwalker, the last thing she wants is to go through an operation and the months of recuperating. Does anyone have any tips of a non-surgery cure? Or at least something that will help? Thanks, guys.

A friend told me she cured her bunions by wearing Scholl original sandals. Not sure how bad they were to start, or how long she wore them, but it might be worth a go!
Good luck.

thanks guys, I'll pass the info on. I've also read that they can be hereditary (depending on foot shape), so I'm going to try to avoid getting them. Watching her suffer is awful.
Hi. I just wanted to say that i had bunions on both my feet that wre really painful and a i enjoy fitness it was proving a real problem. Last year i had both of them removed surgically and i have to say that the recovery was suprisingly quick and painfree. It took a total of 4-6 weeks to be totally recovered and back to the gym. if your mum is in such pain if she can have the surgery, then i would totally recommend it.
