Now I've hit 31, I'm starting to notice a distinct lack of tolerance in certain foods, ie. apples, sweetcorn, bread and milk are the main problems. I love all the above and any time i eat any of them, my tummy blows up and goes hard like a football cut in half.. seriously. I tried switching to soya milk but this has the same effect. I don't eat them that much to be fair, but it would be nice to have a normal sandwhich and not dread the sickly & uncomfortable feeling after. Why does this happen? I thought that in bread, the chemicals may have this effect, but milk and apples?!

Other than this, my diet is pretty healthy... nothing processed or fried & no tinned food (apart from tomato soup and t.tomatoes).

when you said bread + milk, at first I thought lactose intolerant, it may be that you are, however, get your GP to give you a food intolerance test,
Some people are also affected by a food intolerance condition that begins with the letter "G" but I can't for the life of me think what it is, sorry :-(
