yeah, popped down town town to buy some batteries and saw my boss in poundland.
We both tried to hide from eachother but in the end gave up and i spent about 10mins chatting to him.
After talking to him i went home and he called me to say i had a week off work.
Brilliant.
Do you think this was anything to do with stopping and talking to him?

if you break your wrist Dr Red, you can have 8 weeks off like me. It's a bit drastic, the loss of a limb and the constant pain is a bit of a bu88er, but still..........
Ah now I remembre. Still skiving Boo. It is attitudes like yours which brought about the downfall of the British Empire.
yeah doc, i'm happily sponging off the hard earned national insurance you've paid over the years. I'd like to thank you for the opportunity you've provided, you've enabled me to sit re-arranging my now sizable backside eating cakes all day.

God bless ya ;-)
great ambition boo, I am sure it suits you.
And Doc, I have it on good authority from BOO herself that her backside is not only sizable but also hairy
it does thank you very much. I've even contemplated breaking a leg once my arm heals. If i get 8 weeks for a wrst, heaven knows what I'll get for a leg. Cor at this rate i'll be totally responsible for sucking the NI dry....yay, go me!
You go for it Boo, don't cry when there is bu55er all in pension fund when your time comes.
sorry to disappoint you b00 but i recently (april) broke my leg and they only give you 6 weeks of cake eating for that
Gosh doc, you don't think that's a possibility do you? You mean you haven't paid enough in to keep me in this lap of luxury i'm getting accustomed to? What on earth have you being doing then all these years? I insist you go back to work - french fancies dont buy themselves you know!
oh dammit- really bednobs? well you know how to depress a girl don't you?

In that case, if you'd be so grateful to think of an ailment I can come up once my arm's mended. Ya see, i won't be happy till i've squandered every penny Doc has paid over the years.

I mean bloody hell the boss in poundland!
Wow, he must be mad. The last person i would think who shops in poundland would be my boss.

All that ntional insurence money, think i might have to have some time off to cope with the shock. I've already taken some demerol but i still can't seem to calm down.
Hmm, if he hadn't have given me that time off i might be tempted to tell the lads back at work.
I feel some blackmail coming on!!!
Hey B00- I see your back! Just think how much cake-eating time you'd have if you lost an eye!!

Dr Red - Why did he say you'd have the week off work?

x
Question Author
He didn['t really tell me, all he said was that i had the week off and that somebody was covering for me.
I don't know why, i could ring him up but i don't want to risk loosing the week off.
I have a big chocolate cake with white icing to eat and i'm looking foward to it.
i'd get used to eating lots + lots of chocolate cake Dr Red, it sounds to me that you're boss has replaced you

(in my wee humble opinon)

don't want to worry you

did he mention you're P45 by any chance?

I may be wrong!!

or maybe not!!

what do you think?
hmm... could be he was debating who to give the week to and he just spotted you? Or maybe he thought you were having a funny turn when you were hiding in the pound shop, and thought he'd better give you some time off!!
Enjoy your cake x
Question Author
Hmm, maybe john
We were both trying to hide but when i turned the corner he was there and we bumped into eachother and so gave up.
Anyway i will have much fun with my cake thanks clairey.
he might give you more money now he knows you go in poundland :)

You need something really unusual to get extra special time off, I caught a disease from pigeons from the faeces pouring through my office roof. On and off I've been off for 5 months and now I'm back but part time only, all on full pay. The pain and morphine are a bit of a downside but I now know every cake in our bakers. today it was an iced fancy with an orange jelly on the top.
result!!!!
