Well, I would have hated to have been adopted by you............a bigoted peeping-tom is hardly the role-model I would have wanted......

Sensible answers only please, not rantings from sexual deviants,
Nae problems with that, as long as they are in a loving, commited relationship and the child's welfare is paramount
That was a sensible answer. Bigotry has obviously further clouded your already suspect judgement............
It's so much worse than having parents who are alkies, druggies, wife beaters, poor role models, thugs etc etc isn't it.

Dr Spock - How does a same sex couple adopting effect you exactly?
Oooh Dear, Doc..............not quite the resounding affirming response you were hoping for just yet, eh ?
I personally have no problem with same sex couples adopting, to me its just two people in a committed relationship just like any other relationship. However whichever side of the fence you sit on surely its best for the child to be in a loving family than not regardless of sexual orientation.

So we are saying it is a normal environment then.

The child won't be affected ????????????????
Why should it ?

How will growing up in a loving, safe, happy environment adversely affect the child ?

If you could rationally (!) explain your concerns I would be happy to dismantle them............
It would be a normal environment and the child would be affected just like any other child is affected by its parents.
As long as a child is brought up in a loving, caring, safe environment, does it matter who the parents are?x
Question Author
If it is sooooo right and normal then why don't all the funny men go and live by themselves on a remote desert island.

We ( the normal ones) could visit them after 100 years and see how their (normal) culture had developed.

END OFF>
Doc, why does it frighten you?x
The only possible, and politically correct answer (is any other allowed anymore ?) is:

.......as long as they are in a loving, commited relationship and the child's welfare is paramount....

*and so Doc picks up his football and stomps off home*

My mum "came out" as a lesbian when I was about 6 years old,I am the second youngest of 7 children so she most definitely had experience of relations with the opposite sex. None of us 7 turned out gay/lesbian (although one of my brothers is a cross dresser). My mum had 2 live in partners throughout my childhood but there were no problems because of this. Sexuality has nothing to do with being a good parent.

Nature has a way of stamping out abnormalities. A horse and a donkey produce a sterile mule.

All gay men by choice are sterile. They cannot mate with their chosen partner.

If this normal then god help us.

Hi Kate. A child brought up by 2 men . I don't know where to begin. It is a strange world where this situation is morally and ethically acceptable.
I think it is undesirable, and no, I am not going to explain why.
It is also considered not "normal" to treat a child so badly that it is taken into care. Luckily there are people in this world who want to adopt these children and other children who cannot be with their biological parents for many reasons! Is it so bad that some of these people who want to adopt, are gay?x
