Do Sundays seem longer than any other day of the week or is it just me?

I guess it doesnt help that its raining and if it does stop its so wet you don't want to go out anyway!

What is your ideal Sunday? Start to finish.

Sunday is my favourite day of the week and doesnt last long enough for me.

I normally have a lie in til about 9.00 then get up and just laze around for ages, potter around online for a bit or read for a bit. The only chores I do is to strip the beds and wash the sheets and iron everyones uniform for the week ahead. My fella is the main cook in our house so he normally cooks something lovely and I wash up afterwards.

My daughter and granddaughter always visit on sundays which I love cos as Im not running round like most days I get to spend loads more quality time with them.

The only downside of sunday I can see is that it is the day before monday :(
Hi unrulyjulie , indeed Sundays can drag on , especially if it's raining , I seem to have been up ages and yet it's only just gone 1o'clock . Hope you are well .:-) x
hi unruly....reading the bickering on here is quite good, along with the newspapers and just having a lazzzy day.
Hi unrulyjulie
I work every second Sunday, so today is one of the Sunday's that I do not have to be up at 5.30am.
I loved not having the alarm clock going off this morning, but you are right, it seems to be a longer day than the other days of the week.
Plus, it is raining here too so it is quite miserable today.
Got shopping to do later this afternoon, so not much excitement here either.
Hope you don't get too bored.

Hi Crulella, its not that im bored, just seems like time is dragging today! The week days just whizz by but i guess its a good thing that its mainly the working week that goes fast!

Hi pixi, Bigmamma and Nuoyg!

This is my ideal Sunday................ a lie in till about 10 then be taken out for Sunday lunch, roast lamb with mint sauce for me, a couple of glasses of wine to wash it down with, nice to go with friends. On the way home, stop somwhere picturesque for a walk, taking in the lovely views. Get home, relax in front of a good DVD, have a nice warm bath , get my snuggly dressing gown on, lie on the sofa and watch some telly and then have a nice early night!
I usually like Sundays but today is really dragging. My son, daughter, grandchildren are all away on holiday together, so I can't have a chat to them. They are in Thailand so its too expensive on the mobile. Can't make my mind up whether to go for a walk, but too much effort to get ready as I am just lounging around in scruffy clothes. Mr puss and me usually go somewhere for a drive and pub for a meal, but he doesn't want to today..oh well...sorry about the moan but that about sums up today.
hi julie x my ideal sunday would to be in bed all day . bit like every other day really lol ...
Up at 0645 (a lie in) Walk the dog & get the Sunday papers. Breakfast (fried) Church at 0930, ring the bells for morning Service. After Church, a couple of pints then Sunday lunch. Ring again for Evensong at 1730. Then chill out with a bottle of wine when I get home.
