Does anyone know what kind of rise in heartrate is ideal for fitness, I have a resting heart rate of 70bpm and when I work out I keep it at around 110-120bpm for around half and hour. Is this good?

You take a base rate of 220 then deduct your age. If you want to fat burn work to 60-65% of this figure, if you want a cardio workout aim for 80%
