So who, like me, lives in flood soaked Gloucester and has no ruddy water?? Been without for 4 or 5 days now - it's a nightmare!
Any other sufferers out there?

I went there once, in a shower of rain.
I managed to step into a puddle and sank right up to my middle. I am not going there again.

I don't live in your area and do feel sorry for you having to go through flooding .Having to manage without tap water must be very disrupting. Thoughts are with you and hope you get fresh water from somewhere and get running taps back on soon. :-)
my neice's are in cheltenham and they're now without water although they still have electric, i really feel for you it looks awful
Hi there gleaveyweave,Us 'ere up North have been watching the floods on the tele and it must be terrible for you, lucky I live on a hill on the Pennines so not much chance of ever being flooded, but I do know what its like to be without water. We do not have mains water, but spring water and we rely on a well which from time to time gets blocked. It was blocked a few weeks ago and we were without water for a week. According to the news you may be without for 2 weeks or more which as you say is a nightmare.
I read that some people are profiteering by selling bottled water at exhorbitant pcices.

Why can't the locals get together and kill these people.

Robberies and looting, it is absolutely incredible.
Hi gleavey. I'm over in Hereford and havent had it as bad as you - bad enough though . My brother in Tewkesbury and stuck at home. Nightmare- I feel for you.
Hi gleaveyweave, I truly am sorry for the state you and the other are in. When Katrina hit here in US and on 9/11 the local beverage companies sent trucks of water. Budweiser Beer was a big one. No one is offering any relief there???? Unreal.

In another post someone asked, "Where's our relief?" I agree. The UK and USA are always offering foreign aid, but when we need it where is everyone?

I wish you all the best and hope for a speedy restoration of services.

Thank you everyone for your kind words xx
Much appreciated.
And doc spock, you are right about the bar stewards selling water for extortionate prices, it's unbelieveable - some bloke knocking on doors selling five litres for a tenner! Some people have been really kind though, a woman is driving down a lorry load of supplies from Surrey, just out of the goodness of her heart, bless her.
Just have to sit it out for 2 weeks, but with two small children, it is awful! Thanks again to you all for taking the time to reply xx
we all could join a hose pipe together would that work need a lot of them .
