Ok I might start a bit of a debate here, but stemming from another question on whether collection 2000 is tested on animals, If you found out the make-up you use was tested on animals would it stop you buying it?

i use head and shoulders.which has been around for yonks so im guessing theyve stopped testing it by now duhhhh.
the majority of cosmetics are in fact used by women.
its vanity.

but i think there are human beings in more needof help than some rab bred animals.

bearing in mind this thread is about animal testing there has been no place for regards to issues with humans. However, I volunteer twice a week down at the shelter offices and regularly do events with amnesty international, guess that rules me out. Bad luck!

No duhhhh about it I�m no psychic and as I said other blokes use cosmetics. I knew we couldn�t have a proper debate with you. We have done quite well today without any arguing or ffs's even though we all have strong views and different ones at that. Yes you have your own view but does not mean we are wrong.

when iwas back in scotland i gave a quid to a we woman selling the big issue.
i eat organic yoghurt and dont wear lipstick anymore.
all my shoes are hand made in tenerife by a 90 yerar old woman from villa flor.
i help ethnic minorities by buying my fruit and veg from the royal bengal fruit shop , very nice indian family.
once a month i dine in a spanish tapas bar and tip the waiter who comes from a veryblarge family that live in a cave on the side of mount teide.
what are YOU doing champers and all the bleeding hearts brigade??
btw do u use insecticides?mouse traps or poison?surely theyre little creatures too????

sorry as i read the thread it was developing into one of moral issues for examle whats right and wrong.
legally theres nothing wrong with animal testing
but those who oppose it bombing buildings and maiming folk who work in these labs is wrong.
so in that respect i think animal testing is the lesser of two evils and is still necessary even tho there are some alternatives the animals are the closest to humans.
sorry but thats my opinion.

After all that's said and done, I try to make my own positive difference to this planet in whatever way I can that fits around my lifestyle. I'm sure there's plenty more I could do, but it's all small steps, innit?
So in short, anti-animal testing is just one small thing I'm aware of and try to support.

Thats a sweeping generalisation isn't it. Some who appose it, bomb buildings and dig up dead bodies and hold them for ransom not the majority. Most prefer to retaliate by making better choices as a consumer. I'm sure if you look into it properly Legend you would change your mind about animals being the best testing options, we arent talking breakthrough cancer treatments here.
maybe not.but as climate change effects evryone everywhere in the world i think its a more important issue than some bunnies.
and as we can definitely alll make a differennce to climate change why dont we concentrate on whats more relevant and important.
