Running is a complete waste of time, we are not a running animal, that is why we invented bows and arrows etc.
I have known fit people in their 30's drop dead after running'
Far too dangerous a pastime.
well asides from all the health benefits which we all know are good for us as Joe says it does make you feel good - this is due to the release of endorphins (hope i thats how its spelled) simply put these act as a natural "feel good" drug within the brain and its this reward that will make people enjoy the physical exercise - and wish to repeat the experience
i know a better way to release them happy hormones . it can be done in comfort .
physical exercise does not reduce the risk of lung cancer, unless jtl has evidence to the contrary.
How many athletes smoke? How many smokers regularly run?

I think there is a pattern forming. Think holistis
Besides, regular excercise does reduce the risk of ALL cancers.
