Feeling very negative at the moment, got made redundant last week, my long term relationship (finally) ended not long ago, and today, my car cost me another load of money. I know I have a lot to be grateful for. But still doesnt stop me from feeling so negative, really trying hard to turn it around, but its becoming a bit overwhelming. So this is a question, and not just me whinging, (sorry) but who else has ever felt like everything is going wrong, and did you manage to turn it around?

Trinny sweetie , here's a smile to cheer you up :-)
I'm sure there are lots of people on here that have felt as you do now Trinny, including my self.

What you're going through now, probably does seem like it's ever going to get better, but I'm sure it will. In the meantime, maybe you could go for a nice a leisurely swim, or for long walks - that has always helped me get through 'low' days.

Good luck & chin up. -x-
*myself & never going to get better! Sorry.
I feel everyday things are going wrong, then I look at what I've got my dear son, a wonderful house and great job oh and better not forget great husband!! but still I can wake up feeling so down and negative about the world. I don't think there's a way to get over it, it's just life and it does get better but if you find a cure let me know.

Big hugs for you though xx
Ah, watched that 'til the end Doc Spock & it brought a smile to my face too, thank you.
Doc Spock !!!!
That was sweet wasn't it trinny ?
Very good Doc spock and so true xx

Just watched that Doc Spock, that was really sweet. Thanks for that.

To everyone else, thank you....I know lots of people feel like this sometimes. I just need a way to get over it quick, as its not making me feel good

There is ALWAYS someone somewhere in the world that is worse off than yourself.

I think many people feel as though everything's against them at some point in thier life. I'm sure i've been through it before - When nothing seems to be going right and the worlds against you....?

i think the best thing you can do is just appreciate the simple things you do have in your life which many people unfortunately can't cliam to have e.g. health, life, family, friends etc.

Thank you all again. Yes I know there is always someone worst off than me. Thats what I tell myself. And my problems are nothing compared to what thousands of others may be going through.
Ok Trinny, you got to turn all this on its head, what seems negative can be positive.

End of a relationship (finally) = new beginning, time to spoil yourself, concentrate on you, find new relationship if you want or just be free for a while.

Made Redundant = (crap I know) but find a new better job, maybe one that you have always wanted to do. Depending on finances, maybe retrain for something else. Join night classes in something that interests you, if you are unemployed you only have to pay a minimum fee.

Car = not much you can do right now, but with new and improved job = new and improved car!

Everyone goes through this in life, the crap just seems to pile up but look at it as a challenge, as one door closes so another one opens.

don't let the b*stards grind you down!

Get out there and kick some @ss.

My friends and family are all I need.
Question Author
Thank you warpig. Yes, you are right.

I was determined NOT to let things get me down.... but could just find them all "creeping" up on me. At once!

Will turn it around...........Thanks warpig, hope your cv is coming on ok!

xx
Oops I had forgotten about that! Better get my finger out!
Trinny - for some reason life seems to like to throw these things at you all at once and it's understandable why you feel low.
BUT, in my experience ceratainly, disasters like your having seem awful at the time but later when you look back they often seem like 'the best thing that ever happened' to you. Did you really love your job? Most people don't. Was your relationship the best ever? Probably not as it ended. Trinny you are actually very ,very lucky you have the perfect excuse to make a completely fresh start, a blank canvas, a clean page. Think about what job you would really ,really like to do and look for it, put yourself out there so you can meet another wonderful person who will cherish you, love you and be there for you.

I promise in a couple of years time this will probably seem like a wonderful time in your life not the worst.

Love, luck and a big hug
