The last week I have had a sore throat, tickly cough and now and then sore eyes! I thought it was a cold but I thought it was odd that my sinuses hadn't been affected as normally they are the first thing to go when I get a cold!

A girl in my office has just said it sounds like I have Hayfever but I have never had it before. Does this sound like symptoms of Hayfever?

Oh poo! I will have to go and get some Hayfever stuff on lunch then! I was hoping it was just a cold that would dissapear! Now I have hayfever....!!!!!!!!
Im not really the patronising type Ruby but if you are planning on driving or operating machinery get the non drowsy ones. Piriton is my antihistamin of choice

Thanks John... I don't swallow tablets too well so I will get whichever ones look the smallest! Lol
Don't despair Ruby, hayfever will probably disappear once the antihistamines kick in. Jusrt dont be fooled and stop taking them cos it might come back! You might be better later on in the year and not need them. Different pollens affect different people. I felt like death last week!
boots own brand non drowsy are tiny. If you dont like tabs at all, try beconase nasal spray-that works for me.
Ruby, you can get most antihisamin in liquid form these days, it's better than tablets as it gets into your bloodstream faster and starts to work almost as soon as you take it.

Thanks you two... Very helpful indeed! I will nip to Boots on my lunch and get some! My eyes are so sore and have been for ages.. I thought it was an underlying cold!
you could try the Qu-Chi acupressure band. i know it works because i invented it. i am an acupuncturist in leeds and did 4 years of clinical trials before launching this year. it is drug-free, no side effects and suitable for all ages.
