I found a little hard lump the size of a pea just behind mt left ear, on the bone behind my lobe.

It's not sore, red and doesn't even itch. In fact, i just caught it by mistake last night when I scratched my neck so I have absolutely no idea how long it's been there.

It might sound silly, but my mum has had breast cancer twice by the age of 50 and is in excellent health (no fags or booze). First time was when she was only 36. I'm nearly 31. IShe allowed me to touch her pea-sized llump on her breast and this feels exactly the same in size, shape and everything, but in such a wierd place.

Can this be a cancerous lump?

Does anyone have any idea what it may be?

I'm not too worried at the moment, becasue I've never heard of anyone getting cancer of the ears before, but it's better to be safe than sorry all the same.

Many thanks.

Just go to the doctors but it may be the same thing I have, I have a small lump that moves around under my skin, kind of hard. When I went to docs he had a feel and told me that it was my gland, when I was born my head was squeezed out in such a way that it moved the gland from the side of my neck up behind my right ear. But as I said go to the docs just in case. xxx

WOW! Can you push it round your body?! That would be pretty funny if you pushed it to your nipple and made a giant one, hahahaha!

Seriously though, mine doesn't move or anythign, but since last night I've been touching it a lot but it doesn't seem to have got bigger as it would normally have done from excessive prodding and rubbing.
always get a lump checked by the GP, to put your mind at ease if nothing else otherwise you will constantly worry about what it is.

As 4get said, it could be a gland
no it doesnt move or I'd give myself a bit of a chin :-) Its just a hard lump. About pea size but can get bigger if I've got a cold :-)
