Over week ago, found a very small lump in my right breast. It's quite tender too. The thing is the lump send more prominant some days than others, today I can't feel it so much. I hv doctor appt tonight but don't want to be wasting his time. I hv bn exercising lately and wonder if it could just be muscle strain. I've never noticed this abnormality until recently although check regular. Do u think I should ease up exercise and see if it goes before seeing doctor or keep appt tonight, don't want to waste his time .. what u think ? I'll be honest little anxious ...

keep appt tonight. Lumps should always be checked out, though chances are its nothing to be worried about
Go to the Dr, get it checked out, it may be nothing to worry about, if it is of concern you don't need to be faffing about playing waiting games, go see GP!!
You won`t be wasting the doctor`s time. That`s what he`s there for. The fact that is is tender and is more prominent some days could mean it`s just a cyst but best to get it checked out.
Never ignore mysterious lumps appearing...see your GP.
For sure you are not wasting the doctors time. If it is benign, which is more likely, then an examination will prevent further mental anguish; but if it is not then it needs to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible. With these sort of things the answer is always to take a deep breath and get it checked, that's what the medical profession is paid for.

Thank u all so much... will see doctor tonight as planned.
Go to the GP and get it checked, when I had a lump my GP told me that generally if it hurts then it is nothing sinister.

Thank u
I agree with all above................tender and fluctuates.........I agree with 237SJ it sounds like a benign cyst.
get it checked as early as possible, my mum died of breast cancer, she found a lump but ignored it, if she had of went to doctor earlier she would be here now !!!!

Thanks again all. Went doctor, he given me referral to hospital. He was very understanding.
If I can add my bit too ...

Always, always ALWAYS have a mammogram when offered. I had no problems at all, no lumps or bumps but about 18 months ago a mammogram found cancerous cells. It was caught very early and a small bit of tissue removal and 3 weeks of radiotherapy got things sorted for me. If I'd waited until I had a lump, things might not have been dealt with so easily.

Hope all goes ok for you.

By the way - twice in the last 20 years I HAVE had lumps which were benign.
Well done for going, mustanglady - let's hope it's nothing, but I wish everyone were as sensible as you and got these things checked out. The GP will never think you are wasting time with things like this. Let us know how you get on.
The hospital will sort you out ML.................I had a referral a few years ago. I had some tissue removed with a needle which went for testing, a mammogram and a sonergram (sic)........all done and given the all clear within 3 hours.
