Wireless with Laptop Only

Hi all.

I just have a laptop and would like to know if I can go wireless and if so, what equipment I need.

I know how to use a wired in modem with a desktop, and then wireless PCI card with the laptop - but how do I do it without the desktop?? Many thanks

Get a wireless router.
