I had to get up three times last night for a pee, is this normal, recently it has been getting more frequent!!
Do I need to exercise my bladder, my bladder has always been good to me!! it has always held up to a gallon + until recently, and would only need emptying once or twice a day.
I never used to ever have the need to get up during the night, am I over the hill at 49 should I be considering the knackers yard?

Accept the rubber finger.

You might regret it if you don't!

Panic Button, just dont go there OK!!!!
I don't want to thanks.

But perhaps someone should.
nocturnal frequency of micturition is not unusual at your age, most obvious reason would be enlarged prostate gland, any changes in the flow rate of the urine eg dribbling and feeling the bladder has not quite emptied properly are also a good indication. i suggest you " bite the bullet " and visit your g p ................................or you could just reinsert your catheter and when out socialising put a spigot in..
Oh crete, now that last comment was just a little bit mean! (LOL) The first part was very good advice though, and I have told him the same .... go to your GP! My poor RATTER is a bit worried. Anyway, hope you're well crete and the sun is shining on you xxx. :o)

Sorry to say this ratter, but it is an age thing. Although you seem to be a bit on the young side for it. I'm 67 and have been getting up 2 or 3 times a night for years now. The Doc reckons that is OK but any more and it needs to be looked at.

Question Author
pinkspangle, you really surprise me, you are obviously female, judging by your name, maybe you drink a lot of fluid?
Males actually have larger bladders than females I think, but I would only ever get up in the night for a wee if I had a few beers before hand .
Yup i am female.. Its weird though, if i have been drinking ( alcohol that is) i don't go at all, whereas if i've had a normal day's worth of fluid, and no alcohol i am getting up all the time! How does that work..???!!x
