Is there anything you feel you could do to make a difference, if so, what could you do?

i work in the PR dpt for a ethical organisation which also happens to be a registered charity. do you rek that counts as making a difference?
I don't do anything :-(

Did you get your results Jenna?
Hey Jenna,

I give a monthly payment to a whale and dolphin society!! Sounds really random but my mum done the whole adopt a dolphin thing for a birthday pressie once and I've just continued it, being that I adore dolphins!!
I'm thinking of doing some voluntary work for the NSPCC and am investigating so will hopefully sort something out soon. I also signed up to be a campaigner for them so I send letters and petitions to my local MP when they ask me to.

I do what I can but would like to do more really. Oh I did a charity run for Cancer Research as well and raised quite a bit so I guess that counts. My next mission is a charity parachute jump, just need to sort it out!!
Hmmm, donate 20 a month out of my wage to various charities (not ones abroad). I also donate all my old clothes and other stuff to a charity shop. I also make sure i throw all my litter in the bin (preventing a trip hazard). I also but loads of lottery tickets, as i know they donate a lot to charity...
The only things I do is,
1 Standing order for Cancer research

2 I donate twice yearly to a childrens hospice,where I live.

I used to give to the nspcc, but I don't now after they didn't attend an urgent call because they were to busy organising a christmas party, and the kiddie died,
Well i did Race For Life last year...also spent 3 months in Ghana and i sponsor a kid i met out there (keep in regular contact and send out clothes etc)
I do the clothes/shoes/toys to charity thing
Oh and i now run a womens football team... think that counts as voluntary work.
I used to work for Crossroads Care, palliative work.
I donate to Many Tears Dog Rescue, Shelter and WWF.....
I give books and clothes to charity.
oh yes, forgot the main charity I support is of course M.S lol
Also, indirectly. i bet a lot on the horses, of which a percentage gets donated to the save the horses fund. I also spend some money at the casino who's owner donates a percentage of the takings to charities. I also spend a lot in a pub , where the owner donates an amount to charity. And i also buy loads of raffle tickets for the childrens hospice...
Ben ur so dumb..why in every question i see you do u give some stupid immature answer?
I keep the AB ed in a job, who keeps feeling the need to ban me every other week.
Nat_84, how are my answers dumb? I give a lot to charity, directly and indirectly. Whats so dumb is a girl running a football team. That isnt voluntary work. your doing that for your own satisfaction. charity is about giving and not expecting anything back.
I must admit that i do get satisfaction when i go into the charity shop and they tell me all my stuff has sold again...
Wardy....you don't look the same like that
Err...you can get satisfaction out of voluntary work!

I can't play myself due to injury.

Running and setting up a football team is hard work and it's for your community!

I also got satisfaction out of travelling to Ghana to coach an underpriviliged boys football team out there - but i suppose that was simply for my satisfaction? I also got satisfaction out of helping in orphanages out there and i still get satisfaction from sending out gifts and being in contact with children from Ghana.

Anyway - ur answer was still stupid and i dont think ur the type to go into a chairty shop and give away ur old clothes - so stop lying.
I do old peoples feet and keep 'em mobile. I get paid for it - but hey, wouldn't you want paying?!

Wow :) some great answers!

Hey ummmm, had my boob scan this morning but the biopsy results aren't back yet so going to have to wait until next week for them now. Waiting's a pain but I can't complain as they've seen me and got scans and such organised so quickly :)
...but then I give some of my pay to the 'Make-a-Wish Foundation' & the NSPCC...
ummmmmmmmmm I am running out of user names and icons!
