Can any of you lovely people out there help?
My 48 yr old daughter is taking ELLESTE DUET for HRT. They are 1 mg.
Since beginning the course 4 days ago she is unable to get up in the morning, staying in bed till early afternoon, she`s very "low" mentally and she`s sweating a lot. She had a slight viral "thing" at Christmas but recovered from this.
Are the tablets responsible for this or is it the mild virus [ a slight cold] the cause.
I`ve told her that if anyone can help it will be you. Many thanks.

NITA, putting the virus aside, maybe the HRT is'nt agreeing with your daughter? Although I never took it,2 of my friends did and one had to try a few different types of HRT before she felt right. As for me, I never liked the thought of going on it and took Black Cohosh for the flushes. Worked a treat!
Hi Nita,
Your daughter may be some of the few that cannot tolerate these hormones. She can change them of course and there is a helpline for women on HRT called The Amarant Trust and I think a quick call to them would be advisable....
She needs to get all the knowledge she can of all the different types available.
The Amarant Trust no:

01293 413000

and their site is here....

She may well be just wiped by the bug she's had, there are some nasty little germs around at the mo :-(
Best Wishes to You Both
B :-)
