New Year, New Job - Yippee!!!

Just thought i would shout about my new job! I went for an interview on Friday afternoon to be a PCSO and got offered the job there and then! Well, they kept me waiting for 5 minutes while they discussed the answers i gave them, but i'm SOOOOOOOOOO happy!!!

Haha- No!! It's a Police Community Support Officer!!

I've wanted to do it for some time but i got my final push to apply when the end to my temporary contract was coming up for the job i do now! Only thing is, i applied to be PCSO in October and have since successfully applied for permanent position for the job i was doing! :-)

I think the toughest part is yet to come - i've got to ring up on Monday and request an appointment for my medical before i can start. I believe this can take months, which is the only downside :-(
Oh well, at least i'm in a comfy job in the meantime!!!

well done, we now have eight PCSOs in our town and they are doing a grand job, friendly, helpful And they have caught some of our towns yobos. Good luck in your new job

Thanks to all of you for your messages - I really REALLY cannot wait to start this job! Sent off my vetting forms this morning so just got to wait for these to be done, then it's medical and start date! :-)

Wendys, where do you live - i will gladly come and help drive the crims off your streets!

Babyjane (good name!) - i hope i fit the same criteria as you have described your local PCSO's as being which is why they offerd me the job!
