where do you find time to go swimming 23 times a week??
lol...I was gonna say that
Have you tried Sainsbury's own brand shampoos?

Like you we've been through all the Pantene-types, but think Sains best by far - and also the cheapest.
wow 23 times a week ! i don't think i have been swimming that often in my whole 27 years of life
We swim everyday and our family have found the best thing to help with dry clorine stripped hair is L'oreal Elvive intense repair mask in the tub. If you use that after swimming it really helps keep your hair soft and nice. My wife has very long hair and she uses it and doesn't have frizzy split ends etc:)
Why don't q's on the main page include symbols? Still the confusion can be funny though, i was thinking wow, 23 times a week :)

Get a good swimming cap which prevents the chlorine getting to your hair as it strips the moisture. A good moisturising shampoo and conditioner is a must with regular deep conditioning treatments.

I find washing my hair twice with shampoo makes it nicer, like hairdressers do. A good leave in conditioner is a possibility too.

Do you have colour on your hair or a perm or anything else which could be contributing to making it drier like using lots of styling products or heating appliances like straightners? You can get shampoos which can remove product build up and such, you could use it a few days in a row at first then say once a week to keep it unclogged.

Maybe go and get a new cut and conditioning treatment from a hairdresser, tell them the problem and they may be able to recommend a good cut and treatments and tips. They can get rid of some of the dry ends and such ready for your new haircare routine.

I've found the L'Oreal Elvive anti breakage for brittle and damaged shampoo good for reviving brittle hair.

Try plucking a hair and holding it taught, run a finger along the hair both ways, if in good condition it should feel smooth both ways, if it feels rough it needs some care.
i used to swim twice daily, as me old flat had a communal pool, but i shave me head, which might not help you, but used use coconut shower gel, as it is great in replacing lost moisture, when i had hair, i used coconut conditioner which was very good too, i get dry skin which the chlorine makes worse, so i always covered me self in baby oil before drying meself, ine of the best things to is rinse yourself for ages....
Hi, always wet your her with clean water before getting in the pool....if it's already wet it takes up less chlorine. Wear a swimming hat as well.

Philip Kingsley - Swimcap it is fab !
Hmmm, when you go swimming , do you go in the kiddie pool? It might be the urine thats ruining your hair...

thanks for the constructive replies which i shall definitely try.
it is amazing how ,considering computer language, that there are some who dont recognise a forward slash as in my weekly swimming sessions of 2 slash 3 times.
methinks someones head is swimming and taking the urine.
anyway a happy new year to one and all and keep contributing to the best site on the web
ps
dont get too much to drink as youll only have to slash.
