yeh me too, quite a nice day, but after presents and stuffing face, its over really, feel tired and fat.
is that it?
At the risk of arousing the ire of the atheists on this site, I would venture to say that everything to do with Christmas is hollow, a broken promise wrapped up in shiny paper and tinsel. And why not? I believe that only Jesus Christ, can fulfill our most basic inner needs, and without Him, there will be that disappointment that you speak of.
True, for those surrounded by friends and family, regardless of their beliefs, Christmas can be as enjoyable as any other social gathering. But I think I understand your disappointment, for the reasons stated.
probably because you build up to it expecting the world, but it never is, so you feel disapointed, christmas is always a great build up,,,,,,

"always expect the worse, anything else is a bonus!"

think u hit the nail on the head devilwoman.i so wish i were young again
It's bound to be a let down, after all the build up!

But think of it that way: you've had a great time with people you love, and you can have the same again whenever you want, BECAUSE those people will still be there tomorrow!

Have a drink, be cheerful, and count your blessings! lol

Merry christmas from a very tipsy Max! :-P
think max hit the nail on the head on that one

be cheerful ,as Ian Dury might have once said.
Theland, you trying to arouse the atheists again!!! Jesus has never satisfied anything in me, but I have had a fully happy and satisfied Christmas and I haven't even seen a vicar or a bible!!
The great thing about answerbank is that you can answer truthfully and not have to face the wrath of any particular kind. I suscribe to the views of Theland - Without celebrating the birth of Christ, Christmas would indeed be empty and meaningless.

However, I am pleased that those who choose not to or simply don't believe can have a satisfying and warm time with their families.

Christmas should be simple; get rid of the commercialism - make it about being with your nearest and dearest -it works - believe me!
Kinnies, you will get the wrath on her from time to time, you just learn to ignore it or give them as good as they give you, but mostly its all good humour on here.
That`s the one thing I DO NOT feel. I can`t wait for it to be over as I detest it all.
Ratter - Is your ire aroused or are you just a little hungover? Hope you got a nice prezzie off Santa.
I felt disappointed because my husband can't work his new DVD recorder properly and he has cocked up the Doc Martin Christmas special !!!! Pilchard!!!!
