Not really, just wanted to hear that somebody else had had it as out of everyone I know, I'm the only one thats had it and no-one else has ever heard of it!
When you say had it, hopefully yours was treated early with antibiotics. I eventually had to have an operation which left me partially deaf, and suffering with tinnitus.

Shazsnell thats very unfortunate, I feel for you. My doctor sent me to the hospital (after I had what seemed to be a severe ear infection for 2-3 weeks). There I was told I'd have to stay in and be put on a drip (I'd only given birth 5 days before, so had to leave my newborn daughter which, although it sounds silly, I'll never get over!). My partner and parents brought her to see me but it wasn't the same! The drip did the job though and, touch wood, I've not had it since. I went back a week later for a test and they said it had cleared. Does it ever appear again once you've had it or is it like a any other illness? I didn't care to ask once released from hospital!
I really don't know if you can get it again. I just had constant ear infections for years because of a perforated ear drum and the infections then damaged my mastoid which had to be removed. Hopefully yours is a one off.
Take care.

(correctional through antibiotics)so not a major worry these days.
