Did this happen in bed? If so, i think maybe you have contracted that little insect that burrows under your skin and crawls up your arm. thats what the itching feeling is. It was on the news the other night. If its not that, then i heard an old wives tale about itchy hands. it means you have been putting them somewhere you shouldnt have...

the itching caused by scabies gets worse at night ?
Tradey - I had those kind of skin problems for years. I went to the very best dermatologists insurance could buy. They really had no idea what the problem was - but they always gave me a prescription for a small tube of some kind of medication - and a lot of times a cortizone shot. I used to joke that when I went to a new one, even if I had a broken leg their response would be: "brought on by stress - here's your cortizone shot".

It is way better now - and my stress level is much less than it was now that I work from home. But by accident I think I found something that was a contributing factor - and that was hair spray. I usually put on my make-up and finished my hair BEFORE getting dressed - so the overspray was getting all over my body. Now I never use it without being totally dressed:)

If it lasts more than a day or two - it might be best to have the doctor check it - there are strange new things happening in this day and time - and they can sometimes be severe.

Question Author
well ive been to the doctors and they say ive got shingles brought on by stress.just thought id let you know
I am soooo glad you went to the Doctor - I am sure you got there in time for them to give you the proper medication - they told me there was only a 24 - 48 hour window for them - but by getting there in time, when you get over shingles this time you won't ever have them again!!! If you hadn't gotten there in time, they could come back again and again!!! Good job Tradey!!!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

i wish you a happy xmas and a fab new year to you to, take care, from tracey in rainny manchester in england xx
dont worry me dear youll be better soon with the appropriate treatment. any chance of reducing your stress levels ?
Question Author
im trying not to worry about things as much and calm down
Tradey honey I am so very sorry you had to get them this close to Christmas!!! The pain pills I am sure they gave you will take the edge off a little bit - but be sure to pace yourself - some people only have them a couple of weeks, but some last longer - the pains, not the blisters. I don't know if the Doctor told you, but from my experience I know that the body needs a good multi-vitamin thru this entire experience and for months after. The up side is that both the blisters and the pain will end eventually - and you will be yourself again!!! Please take care of yourself and get plenty of rest.
