Of course. I would have left home for Ingrid Bergman or Jane Fonda!!
i would say "YES". being in love is more emotion than physical.
Question Author
thanks funkymoped thats made me feel better!
Without a doubt.

Only the most narrow of minded men could think differently.

Ps, Reverse the question?

Question Author
laurence yes definitely a woman can be completely in love with a man without having slept with him or even kissed him, its emotional attachment.
bambiboo,

Don't you think that men can then?

Thats emotional attachment.

Yes of course....As far as I'm concerned it's the best way for a long term relationship to work.....He has to love you first.
Question Author
laurence2 well i'd like to think they can
I understand the question, but it really depends on the situation, being current or past that you have been in.

We,ve all been hurt in the past, to a certain degree, but for all the hurt we,ve all suffered, i bet we all have a storey to tell in regards to happy endings

Ps, apologies if you,ve never seen ''never ending storey''
Question Author
the situation is i havent slept with him but he's a good friend, erm seems to be recurring pattern in my life men i think world of i cant become intimate with, no havent seen it, is it good?
why do i get the impression that you love him?

Apologies if i'm barking up the wrong tree.

Well do you?
Question Author
yeah i think i do, i don't really know, i miss him when we arent talking, he makes me laugh frequently, really laugh, he can be a real arse but still miss him. Know he likes me a lot but dont think he loves me, he says i cant turn him into a girl, god the arse.
''can't turn him into a girl''?

Sorry.
Question Author
oh when i give him advice and stuff, he says im trying to turn him into a woman, just sort of thing he says flippantly messin about u know, sry its doesnt really translate into text, im rambling, cant sleep!
Well there is a ''HUGE'' difference between being in love & being friends.

It seems that your in love, but he's not {maybe?} maybe you are just good friends, on the other hand, maybe he finds it difficult to show his true feeling, you know in life when sex is sex, and love is love, only you know the answer.

Ps, men are a funny species, we don't like being told what to do, but we want someone who tells us to ''Do it'' we moan about women, but when there not around, we moan about them not being here, the flippent signs might be either one of him being negative or positive

Only you know.

I'm trapping now, need the beauty sleep.

Hope all works out find whatever the outcome.
Question Author
thanks laurence2 that makes a lot of sense, yes your right i think its me that loves him and he just likes me, nevermind sigh, at least he's a part of my life. Thanks for taking the time to write a comprehensive reply.
absolutely
We maybe he prefers men too ( hence the comments about turning into a girl) There is friendly love and girls seem to have really close mates and girlie/sharie stuff in a way men never do (like Uni house-share girlies etc.) I think they are afraid that it compromises their sexualiity. Love and sex are not the same. There are
celibare marriages that seem to work very well, and sex that has very little love.
Many good friendships have been spoilt by folks taking it to another level. You could loose a good friend.
yes, definitely!
