i have light brown hair,but have a blondish patch of hair to the side of my head,i dye my hair regular but after a couple of weeks you notice the blonde coming through again any ideas please other than dye.

Try some colour mousse from Boots. Loads of colours and its only temporary, but better than dyeing your hair all the time
