Are these kids really 'causing a distubance' or are they just playing out as kids should.
Contact your local council first.
They will ask for a few details, then probably ask you keep a diary of events,....times, who was involved, witness, that sort of thing.

If anything really serious happens, always call the police straight away and never get involved.
Councils and authorities alway react better to police details, remember to get crime nos.

This could take months of surveilance, but keep at it.
Petitions could be difficult to get, as you could end up being their number one target.

I really feel for you.........been there myself, and still fighting after a year!!!!!!

I hope this helps

well, their throwing stones and their ball in peoples gardens
i cant really asee what good a petition is going to do. Who will you present it to?
Did you not do this when you were a kid?
If you've never had this sort of problem, then you dont know how stressfull it can be......there's playing and there's being a trouble maker.

Kids can run riot nowadays and you cant do anything.......thats why they do it!!!!

Wait till your car gets damaged, then you might change your mind
We get this behaviour in our street, kid boots ball into our front garden, runs along all the walls of adjoining houses and then jumps into our garden to retrieve ball.
If that was me at that age it would have been - walk on pavement, walk down path, knock on door and ask for ball back.
When I was a kid I was brought up to respect other people and their property.
yes I think we all did cheeryhelm, but kids are not allowed to play games in this day and age,but there again we did not give cheek to our elders either lol
Lippy!!!!!!!!! ....you should hear what some of the kids in my street yell at people....never heard of half the words they come out with...... my backside would have made contact with my Mothers foot in my day!!
I only say the things I do because people have become so intolerant of what was normal behaviour 20 or 30 years ago and yes we did respect our elders but we were still cheeky little b*****s.I have children and nieces and nephews and the way they are spoken too by older people is unbelievable. We kicked balls over fences and if the person who owned the garden was horrible to us we got cheekier and cheekier and did it all the more. Have you tried having a joke or god forbid a kick around with these kids. Not all kids are bad a lot are just bored and sick of people getting on at them fo revery little thing.
There's nothing wrong with trying to get on with them, but as adults we need to show them how to treat people how they would want to be treated.......we should'nt try and be their 'mate'.

Kids dont understand that if you cross the line then your always be labelled the 'bad kid'

If a ball goes into a garden, then yes, knock on the door say your very sorry and ask for your ball back, but they dont!

Ive seen people being attacked on their own doorstep, just because some kid was told to stop climbing on parked cars.
This country is already being ruled by teenagers running riot. It don't help when parents dont talk to each other instead of fighting............I'm waffling now!

Nice idea.......but lets face it, we're not all rich like you!!!!
I can sympathise with your predicament, but i've never known a petition to work.

Be careful how you go about this, otherwise you could very well end up being a target.
Alfie, I totally sympathise with you. I live in a decent area and I have the problem with kids and their footballs too. The trouble is these kids are 15/16 and can be very intimidating at time. They have damaged our fence to the point of disrepair as they climb it to get their ball back. They also hit their ball off the gable end of our house so we can hear them EVERY time they do it. As as result of this, WE now have to pay to get our fence replace at a cost of over 1000 quid supply and fitted. The kids have also damaged a railing inbetween a wall we have surrounding our front garden and have knocked a wall post off as a result too.

We have involved our factor and the police and I have requested shrubbery to be put in at the offending area and they are going to do it next spring.

The other option is speaking to their parents and trying to reason with them. However, if the kids aren't damaging your property then there's not much you can do unless they are making a nuisance of themselves. I do sympathise with you and see what some of the others are saying but when you're in the situation it's a whole different ball game if you pardon the pun!

Good luck with it x
Alfie phone the police next time and tell them that the children are being very noisy and throwing stones around, as you are worried a car will be damaged.or even a window will be broken. Do not go out and say anything to the children yourself. Keep reporting to the police until they stop them. Brenda
