Why are people ignorant & racist?

After viewing peoples posts earlier regarding immigrants/muslims, I'm really shocked & disgusted of their thoughts. Like I have said in a previous post, people really need to be educated properly about peoples religions, culture, poltics etc before they can make comments like this. People need to get use to living in a multi-cultural country, full stop!

It's a bit frustrating when you try to join in with a factual, intelligent discussion about issues such as race, religion or politics, and you're either flamed down by someone who disagrees with you, or the whole thread degenerates into some diatribe, but it's a democracy I guess so everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I'm more than prepared to get into a debate- as long as if it's a reasoned, well thought out argument. However any paragraph that states "why don't they all pi$$ off home" shows that the speaker has the brain capacity of a walnut and not worthy quite frankly.
