How about turkey breast, or any of the salads (chicken, egg, shrimp, tuna)....and maybe cucumbers dipped in ranch dressing on the side?

cannot believe i anm asking about salad dressings, I don't cook lol
I'm doing low-carb (not Atkins) and i tend to have 'thing and salad'.

Thing = salmon/tuna/chicken/turkey, griddled then sliced.

You can find tasty low-carb salad dressings that make the salad quite edible.

It depends on YOUR definition of 'low'.
Chopped cabbage, peppers, onions, cherry toms, olives and and garlic (if you like them), chopped feta cheese and then some olive oil or pesto sauce. Give it a good shake and voila!

Sometimes I sub the cheese with crispy grilled bacon, and use blue cheese dressing instead of olive oil.
on the way home today i popped into marks bought salad and honey roast salmon, being the pig i am i ate it in one go but it can last you a couple of meals, cost me 5.00 for two days thats okish
Instead of low carbs, why don't you just switch to "good carbs" ie brown bread, brown rice, wholewheat pasta and wholegrains. Eat them with protein and lots of salad and steamed veg - this will give you lots more options for meals. My husband has lost a stone in two weeks on a low GL eating plan.
Hi dot -- can't really explain what "ranch" dressing is but I'll try. It's kind of like a buttermilk dressing, a bit thick, white with herbs and spices....it's delicious!
