Please can anyone recommend any distractions/diversions so I can get on with things today. My heart was broken last night.

Put on music that you love, REALLY loud (NOT soppy, sad songs) jump around the house dancing, cleaning whatever. Exercise, get a comedy DVD and junk food. Phone a friend and go to pub, stay on here and talk to us x x
try shopping and buy something real sexy to make him jealous as hell and dont forget the shoes and handbag...go for a spray tan...all set!!!

super speedy response! I've got so much paperwork to do... then go to the office yet my brain is obsessed with intense feeling and I feel like I might burst. Wish I hadn't let myself get involved with this situation.

hey kazminx... good call. I'm sure I can pick something up in the lunchbreak, but not sure if I'm doing it to make him jealous - think I'll be staying out of his way for a while.
Watch 'George of the Jungle', Brendan Fraiser all tanned and buff in a 'butt-flap' hmmmm......works every time!!!
Pub may not be a good idea...we all know women are relatively likely to get emotional when theyre drinking! But yeah, read a book, line up a film marathon, read the singles ad's and remind yourself how lucky you are, or, my favourite, put on a film youve watched loads of times before with the subtitles on and the volume down, read a book and listen to music!
ps sorry to hear about last night, hope you get back to normal soon x
get the girls round for a night of ice cream and man bashing, lots of loud music maybe some films (comedy the brendan frasier idea is excellent btw), hope you feel better soon xx
ditto to mcfluffs answer. Drown yerself in Haagen Dazs and girly movies. Treat yourself a bit, make yourself feel nice again. Best of luck x
Ask one of your girlie friends to book a holiday with you - doesn't have to be right away, possibly in a few weeks or months - and then you have something to look forward to!

Plus you get to shop till you drop before and come back looking tanned, feeling relaxed and with a clear mind.

In the meantime maybe try writing a letter to the person who broke your heart (not with the intention of giving it to them!) just so you can get everything off your chest - I always find that helps. Then if the mood takes you, you can tear it to shreds afterwards!

Hope you feel better soon xx

the letter idea is a good one... think I'll try that. And yeah, I should look into a holiday, not done anything nice like that for ages, though all my girls are on holiday or away working right now, probably why I've reacted the way I have to last night. Boo!
