IF she calls the police then you have ample reason for what you did.And your daughter and probably countless other people have witnessed this evil hag being mean to mini Loopy.
BUT she may be so shocked that you hit her she may just back off.And if she doesnt then tell her that next time you'll break every bone in her body!!
I've just read your previous post loopy.

Don't phone the police. Have you considered that maybe she has been a problem beforehand and may even be known to the police? If so, that will definitely be in your favour. Don't panic too much, sweetie. You may not hear any more about it. And you should feel proud of yourself for reacting in defence of your daughter. How many times have you walked away from situations and thought, "I wish I'd done XXX"? At least you can say you did it. If it were my daughter, I would have seriously considered carrying a criminal record just to get the satisfaction of whacking the trollop!!!

Good God. I'm actually sitting here getting worked up!!! Where does she live? I'm going round to sort her out too!
Ok Loopyc , read the gist. As a separate thing, you can complain of harrassment to the Police. Ultimately she could end up with an asbo. Regarding the assaut, if you have no form then at worst the Police will offer you an an adult caution. Probaly won't come to that as the woman will probably not want the attention given her part in this.
Ah, you poor love! Well I don't think you'll get in to too much trouble if she does call the police as you've got documentation and it is just something that happened under stress, you didn't mean to do it.

Alternatively, you could call the police or pop down to your local nick and confess to hitting this lady and saying that you're so sorry but thought you'd come to the nick before she reported you and bring all your documentation with you so they can see the stress she's put you under... maybe then they will go and have a word with her themselves. It's a bit far fetched but it might work!
I know Champers - i was just thinking what if I was in the same situation with my little boy - ggggrrrrrrrr!!!!!I think I would have ripped out the hair on her head and shoved it...........
Do not go to the police without legal representation hun, ok? if that is what you choose to do.

I wish you great speed in selling and moving :-)

and..... my t-shirt is being printed as i write lol....

i have never been in trouble with the police before but hey theres a first time for everything!!! champers and pink if anything else happens i will no who to call for backup. thank you you guys for helping me feel better xx
Question Author
thank you beryl i will take your advice on board, and look in to legal advice.
To be honest hon, I wouldnt worry about it too much. If you admit what happened and explain it all to the police, saying how sorry you are, I really dont think they will pursue it. Good luck and I totally understand why you hit this nasty witch!! I would have as well x
loopy, my boy who was 7 at the time was beeing bullied in school along with a number of other children, this bully actually punched and head butted the children, and no matter how much you complained to the school {and their were a few complaints} nothing happened to this bully apart from the odd day or two suspension{basically no other school would take him.

My wife kept it quite from me, but my 7 year old came home one day from school with a bump on his head, i went berserk, and when the bully came out the school the next day i told him i would slap him if he touched my boy again, well his mum and dad was standing behind me, and the mother {who was a right mouthy bitch} said, you have a problem with my son you have a problem with us, i said no problem, apologised for having ago at her son, and promtly threw her husband up against the wall, and said if you value your life, disapear with that fat s**g of a wife of yours before i break your f*****g neck.

lets just say i was everyones favourite parent at my boys school afterwards, boy did i feel good about it

laurence when are you avalible to come to school with me? i have just spoke with my cousin whos a trainee barrister he said all i would possible get is a caution, but when it comes to her she will come worse off because of what she is doing to my child so that and you good people have put my mind at rest so a big hug and kiss to you all, dont know what i would do without you lot sometimes xx
Big group AB hug!!!! xxxx
Well done laurence!!!!! You sound remarkably like my better half!!

When I was young my little brother was bullied at school by some older boys. He'd spoken to me about it and I advised him to tell our mum. Her immediate reaction was "Stand up for yourself!". Of course this didn't work because they're were 3 of them and a lot bigger than him. Eventually I sat my mum down and told her it was a huge problem and that it was really starting to affect my brother. So we both walked him home from school one night and she asked him to point them out. She then marched up to the boys, grabbed the biggest by the scruff off the neck and told him blatantly what she would do to him and his friends if they continued. By rights, it was the wrong course of action to take but it certainly resolved the situation!! It was a lot more than the police would have done.

My brother went through a lot of bullying at school. I remember the first time he had a proper fight. He was about 16 and my mother told me that he'd gotten into a fight and had broken his fingers from punching this boy in the face so hard. My mum was really cross at him! So I jumped up and gave him a hug and said, "Well done you! I hope you beat the cr*p outta him!!"
And tell her that the AB Posse are on the way over!
i said worst ways was a caution, christ i,m a barrister as well as a vigilante now
If it goes to the police and I doubt it will, just say you were discussing the matter and she became abusive and pushed you in the chest. State that she stepped towards you and you feared she was going to assault you a second time, so you struck her. It will be your word against hers. The neighbour will be viewed as a biased witness, so just state you were defending yourself. The fact you have the school to back you up regarding a grown woman terrorising a small child should help enormously.
If it did come down to the police paying a visit, I'm sure if you told them exactly what happened, that your ashamed (but not sorry, but don't tell them that bit) of what you did but she provoked you by taunting and bullying your daughter, then I'm sure they would see your side of things and probably wouldn't even give you a caution.

Grrr the stupid woman, fancy getting your kicks by bullying an 8 yr old girl! How the hell can she justify herself??? Like other's have said she's probably known to the police so won't want to cause more trouble for herself by calling them, esp as she has basically caused all this anyway. Yes your daughter did wrong but by God she's 8! She learnt her lesson, so put it behind you and move on, clearly this woman likes to make people suffer and this woman should know better at her age anyway and obviously gets her kicks by being a bully.
I wouldn't be suprised if she leaves you and your daughter alone now that you stood up to her like this, bet she was right shocked! stupid bint!

Well done loopy! I would probably have done the same if this happened to either of my kids :o)
Oh Loopy what a horrible thing to happen but she definitely deserved it. I think the consensus is probably right - she won't take it further as she's quite likely known to the police already - these people usually are. Did the school actually tell you when they rang that your daughter was in tears because of this woman, if so I should think that would go very much in your favour if she did go to the police. Chances are even if she does the police won't do anything anyway (I shouldn't say this but if she is known to them they quite likely won't follow it through because they'll think she got what she deserved!)

Champers and Fizz count me in too I'm up for the posse!!
Loopy I am with the others here ~ I would have done exactly the same! hopefully she won't go to the police as she is guilty of far worse (in my opinion).

If she does then I am pretty sure they will caution you, given the fact that this has been an aggravated situation.

Big hugs to you, you must have been at the end of your tether to do this & I am sure nobody will blame you!
Just like to say Good luck Loopy and keep that little one safe. If anyone did that to my daughter...who's 7, they'd have to stick a toothbrush up their rectum to clean their teeth
