I changed the sheets on the bed this morning and have just walked into the bedroom with clean clothes in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other... I threw the cup of coffee on the bed!
What really stupid things have you done because your mind was on something else?

Unwrapped a parcel and put the contents in the bin and kept the box lol. . .put a tea bag into a cup with coffee already in it. . .our minds do make us do silly things at times.

I remember years ago my Mum put my dishes into our washing machine instead of into the dish washer ... Trouble is ... she turned it on!! Maybe I should have seen that as the onset of her dementia, which she does now have?

My dad once put Savlon cream on his toothbrush rather than toothpaste...Uggghhh

Once put a packet of toilet rolls in the fridge and a pound of cheese on the bathroom shelf.

Also, not so long ago, got my change at the checkout. Put the receipt carefully in my wallet and threw the £5 note in the bin. Fortunately I realised about 5 seconds later.

I often try and start the car with my front door key, oand open the front door with, etc. The other day I put the TV remote control in the walk-about telephone rack, and was trying to change channels with the phone.
