My girlfriend had her phone stolen last week and I have to say the police have been suprisingly great. They havent caught the fella yet but today my girlfrend has to go though CCTV footage. She was attacted from behind so didn't see him, but the police have footage of him following her.

I have a feeling that if I see the pictures I will know him from one of the estates near wher I live as I know alot of people as I am quite repected and can Handle myself. I am not a thug, work for a living and have high morals but this has really pissed me off.

I think I have made up my mind to give him a kicking and don;t care if he is only a teenager.

What would you do in my situation?

erm.. i kinda understand your frustration but i'd let the police handle it....

i hate violence and dont like seeing anyone hurt, even though i totally understand what you're feeling....

giving him a kicking (your words) will make you just as bad as he is. Please dont sink to that level.
If it means that you have to avoid looking at the tape then do that, dont be tempted into becoming a thug, even if you feel it is justified.
I hope that they do get the culprit and get him off the streets asap.

What if this guy carries a knife? a lot of people do. A 1.5" knife wound can kill you. You might stab him in a struggle.

Maybe he or his friends will come around and "talk" to you after with a baseball bat!

I don't carry a knife but belive in justice, community service is just not enough for me. Get a job like everyone else. Its not the cost of the phone but it had saved text messages from her dead nan that shes never gonna get back that some littke hood rat sold for a �10 draw.

Attacking your mrs is a horrible thing to do and this person obviously needs to learn a lesson. But if you hurt him, you'll be just as much a low-life as him.

Maybe he won't learn. Maybe he'll get let off. But you hurt him and you'll end up in the sh*t yourself. For starters, the police only need look at your computer and this specific post and see it was planned and pre-meditated.

If you have an ounce of sense, you'll let the police do their job and get on with yours.

as tempting as giving him a kicking would b and i understand that u feel u should do that, but please c sense and let the police deal with it and u and your girlfriend move on. she will want to forget about this incident not have to keep reliving it because u r going to court over an assault charge xXx

As others have said I�d calm down if I were you. I meted out some retribution a while back for something I considered a bit more serious than this and I�m a very lucky boy I didn�t end up doing time.

Unfortunately for you these days the potential downside far outweighs the upside of giving someone a hiding - even if the little scrote deserves it.
Forget it and move on, don�t let the rage get the better of you.

you can ...Handle... youself...fine...you give him a kicking....fine, he deserves it....he goes home, tells his mates it was that bloke from *&^&@*, lets get him and that girl he goes out with....and his brother....sister...mum....dad etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

he may even go to the police and have him trawl through cctv footage looking for you

there is also a chance you could get the wrong guy because he looks a bit similar.

i understand how you feel - my sister was beaten up and i wanted to rip them to bits - never caught, so never got chance but probably would have given half the chance, but i would still advise against it in the cold light of day

well if you want to go out for revenge (which i think is fully justified) you need to go about it properly. First of all you need to find out where he lives and then go there and just watch him from afar and wait until he's in somewhere where its both dark and will be hard for him to escape from and most importantly when he's on his own. Then go up to him an have some "words" with him. I would advise wearing a balaclava though cause the law is on the side of the sh!tty little tw@ts.

However as j-t-p pointed out he could himslef be armed so buy some pepper spray or if ya really want to scare the **** outta the scumbag buy a katana

cont..however if i were you and also going by joko's post i'd just pin him to the floor and shout at him. Just scare the little sh!t a bit but dont actually beat him up. That puts you on the level of the chav.

I understand how angry you must be, but it's never a good idea to take revenge into your own hands. Leave it to the police.
Quite apart from the fact that you could get arrested for assault, or he might attacking you as well, iff your efforts go sour and he recognises you and knows where you live, your could find yourself being unexpectedly set upon by him and his mates at a later date.

If I do find out who he is and don't activly go looking for him chances are our paths will cross and I don't think I will be able to control myself even if im in a busy street or dark ally.

4 fellas who witnessed it are going to the police station tonight also to look at the photofits they gave chase but couldnt catch him. I have really been suprised that they have given up their time to help and am quite touched. It's nice to know as too many people seem to turn a blind eye these days.
