There was a theory a while ago, that when we are asleep we are far more receptive to learning. For example languages, people would play linguaphone tapes while they were asleep. Does anyone know any sites, literature etc, that expands or explains this theory in more depth?

Sorry, I can't give any sites etc. Nelli, but I seem to remember reading that this "learn-while-you-sleep" idea was subsequently found not to work.
The term lucid dreaming actually means being aware of the fact that you are dreaming and being able to steer them anyway you wish. I'm sure learning-while-asleep doesnt come under lucid dreaming. Again, sorry but I have no info on what you'd like to know.
i can, to some extent control my dreams sometimes, but not fully. eg: i am aware i am making decisions and feel like i am making them, but..... i can't really explain it.
