kerry-ann, I was in the same position as you over 40 years ago, and also received wonderful support from my family. I was very worried about how things would turn out, but guess what, we've had a great life together and our "baby" has supplied us with two wonderful grandchildren. Life has a great way of turning out OK. Good luck.

Kerry-ann, theres not much I can add to whats already been said, except to give you, your partner and your baby best wishes for the future. You life wont end when the baby's born but it will change and sometimes it will be hard but there will also be lots of good times. Keep in touch and let us know how things go - lots of love xxxx
Well done for being so brave! thats the hard bit over.
Your life will NOT be over hon, trust me! You are just starting a new, exciting (and yes scary) part of it. I was terrified when I got pregnant at 18 but my son is my life !! I love him more than anything. It's good that your boyfriend has a job and most colleges have a creche so you will probably still be able to go to college! Best of luck, stay in touch x x
Shut up Ruskie you muppet!!

Well done! Now the scariest bit is over, you can start to enjoy your pregnancy. Congratulations & good luck.xxx

Nothing new to add....but it really is a wonderful thing & hard work no matter what age you are (I'm 37 & had my 1st baby in December) You will get through it & just wait until the 1st smile at about 6 weeks, it will melt your heart.

Many people manage to bring up happy & healthy babies at your age, and unlike me you will still be young when your child is grown up & you can do all the things you felt you maybe missed out on like nice holidays etc when money was tight.

Best of luck hun, take care. xx

Hi Kerry,

Well you have got past that bit, wasn't so bad was it,your life won't be over kerry,it is just beginning, don't give up on the studies you can carry on at college so just look forward now, Take care, Ray xx

hi kerry ann so glad that all has gone well with your mum and dad i fell pregnant at 18 and the last thing i wanted was a baby but i found my life didnt end it just changed my son will be 29 in october and he is the best thing that ever happened to me and im still young enough to be able to enjoy some of the same things he does, music etc he still lives at home with us and also his girlfriend of 6 years lives here as well so remember you are going to be a lovley young mum when yours grows up and the fun you will have will be great xxxruth
good luck kerry-ann... just to say, as others have, that your life isn't over but it will be very different, and it will often be very difficult; caring for a baby is a big responsibility. You did the right thing in telling your parents; they will be there to help you, and you will need it. Take all the help and advice you can get, and you can always ask questions on AB. I don't mean this to sound too scary - women have been having babies for thousands of years - but don't let anyone tell you it's a breeze; it can be very tiring, especially at first, but it's rewarding too.
well done honey, wish you and your family all the best, congratulations, your life is entering a new and exciteing phase enjoy it xx
