Is it wise to be using a sunbed at all stylism - 'specially after having a mole removed? Sorry, just me being cautious.

I had a mole investigation a couple of years ago, thankfully the consultant told me they were okay, but she still advised me not to use sunbeds - not that I do anyway.

Good luck.

I agree with Smudge.I have quite a freckly back with the odd mole and I was warned to never use a sunbed at all as it could change the structure of any off them to cancerous.
smudge is right you really should'nt be using a sunbed at all, there is so much information now about skin cancer that no one can pretend they dont know the dangers, people think a tan looks healthy , wrong your skin turning brown is actually sun damage, your skin is actually supposed to be the coluor u were born with. be proud to look how u do learn to luv your beatiful white legs.

Sorry stylinsam I agree with the others. There are so many good products on the market now if you want the tanned look.

I used a sunbed for a couple of months (once a week) several years ago but certainly wouldn't do it now. Just like the sun, it ages your skin and if you have had mole removals I wouldn't risk it anyway.

I have had a couple of moles removed and i just put a dab of a very high sunscreen on the scar where the moles were
Sam, are you on a wind-up or what? You keep asking questions about sunbeds but refuse to take peoples advice when they try to defer you. If you have fair skin and moles then you are more prone to skin cancer than most. If you are looking for a quick pre-holiday tan (i.e. 3 sunbeds or so) then thats fine, but do make sure you go for a low tolerance sunbed. But please PLEASE dont do sunbeds as a regular thing.
Agree with the other posters on this one. There are so many products out now. Johnson's and Dove just to name a couple are fantastic moisturisers which gradually build up a natural looking tan. Cheaper than sunbeds too.
